My Quinceañera. Two weeks. Counting down...
Speaking of Quinceañeras...my good friend Bianca's was just last month. I was very honored to be in her court and to be one of her damas. We did the traditional Waltz and a Baile Sopresa(surprise dance). My friend Josh had decided to participate in the dance with me, and was my partner(chambalan). It was a VERY fun party, and I'm sure everyone had a great time. =] I hope mine runs smoothly...if so, it should be a blast!
School has been keeping me busy. Chemistry and Art History especially. Chem seems to be getting a tad bit more understanding and Art History is finally getting interesting. (We're moving into Art that actually is more sophisticated...not some stick figure carvings in the side of a cave)
This years marching band season has gone a lot faster than I had really wanted
it to. Budget cuts limited our number of competitions, but I had fun at both Simi and Hart. Although our band didn't do as good as we could have, it was still just as fun. I'm looking forward to the Arcadia Band Review coming up next weekend, the competition might be a slap in our face regarding our band's parade marching skill, or it might actually be a very successful band review. I'm wanting it to be some what successful, but I guess this weeks parade practice might give a good hint on how we may perform.
AVC Concert on Monday (11/17) You should come. =]
I've been looking at the differences between a myspace and a facebook...and really...I can't find anything better on either. They both are the same, and I guess I'm against having one. They're both profiles of you on the internet.(I guess you can't say having a blog or a website is any better =/ ) Supposedly Facebook is "better" and "safer" but really, its just like a myspace. =P
The raging fires throughout Southern California has had a strong attention of the news today. The outlook is grim, a lot of damage has been done. Some burn injuries have been reported and possibly some deaths. The quote that caught me was when the firefighter reported, "I can't even read the names of the streets, the signs were melting" Large fires are pretty scary (at least to me) and I really hope that this wasn't arson. My prayers are to those firemen containing the fire and all the men and women who are contributing/are in the evacuation of those areas.
I'm listening to a song about WWI. Isn't that great? When I first heard this song a looooong time ago, I would have never guessed it was related to history whatsoever.
I should be in bed right now, I'm dedicating my studying and homework time to sunday this weekend....but who doesn't love procastinating??
Have a wonderful week!
