The Peak of the Night

Well, I'm really not that tired, being as I slept in for the first time in a few weeks. I've now watched two movies in the past 24 hours.

This week definately went by fast. When we return on monday, it will only be 2 months until the school year will have finally ended. I'm disappointed, but i'm also very happy that i'm another year closer to graduating. I can't believe time is flying by so fast.

I just finished watching Atonement, a very good movie according to the critics. I approved of it, sort of.... It was a rather confusing, since the plot was jumping around so quickly with the time. Oh, and at about 5 minutes into the movie, we had to add the subtitles on because the british accents were so thick, we couldn't understand them. It was pretty nice having taken World History this year, simply because some of the story was about WWII, and there were details one had to know in order to understand the movie...so I thank Mr. Manthey for that. Overall I think it was a rather good story plot, minus the sexual scenes, which were unfortunately necessary. I don't think it was as harsh as a rated R movie, maybe a PG-13, but i'm nobody to judge the criteria in which movies are rated off of. But seriously, it's a good movie, go see it. =]

The other movie I saw was Tyler Perry's Meet the Browns. It was such a funny movie! I was laughing the whole entire time! There are a few scenes which really jerked the tears, but I was strong. haha. If you seriously want a good laugh, I definately recommend you see that movie. It was pretty funny...when I went with Priscila to see this in the theatres, there were people who made comments out loud during the movie. It was dumb, but funny, because it was what EVERYONE was thinking. It's definately a movie that will give you a good laugh. =D

Wow, seeing as it is now 1:30 in the morning, I shall be heading off to bed soon. I'm not really looking forward to tomorrow, or next week.... I have to complete a Cold War history project, and a Romeo and Juliet project also. Not to mention State Cup for my soccer team next weekend! Well, I should get off, I hope everyone enjoys their sunday!
Good night, or rather, Good Morning!

Wonderful, Welcoming, Windy Wednesday

I love alliteration. I'm not sure why. It's pretty fun to come up with those types of sentences!

Well, I can agree that today is windy. But i'm a little hesitant to say today was welcoming. I guess the fact that it was a flex day at school made it easier to get up in the morning. The wonderful...i'm not sure about. I just love using alliteration. =D

Ah. I can't say that i'm excited to be back at school...but i'm not completely dreading it. This month is pretty uneventful for any school activities....I'm excited for all the people going to Chicago, it sounds like they'll have a grand time. After March is over, school will end in 2 months! I can't believe this year went so fast! I'm going to definately miss some of the seniors though. =[

So how was everyones spring break? Mine was very busy! It was probably the most i've ever done on a school vacation. I spent a lot of time hanging out with my friends, a day of bowling, and a few visits with some old pals. Oh, and I also watched the movie College Road Trip with my friend Bianca. It was pretty funny considering the actor in that movie reminded us of her over-protective dad. I recommend you see that movie. =D

I'm so excited! Tonight is clarinet choir. In that class we actually get to play exciting, and somewhat challenging music. And the fact that we don't have to deal with other instrumentalists who don't act maturely or put any effort into the music is wonderful! *cough cough* concert band trumpets.... *cough cough* Hah. I shouldn't say that, but i'm tired of being stuck with them in Concert Band....Julia and I both agree that we need new music in that class too!

Ah, this post seems to drag on, so i'll probably end it soon. ooh. Here is a picture of our(Me, Julia, Kira) Kiwis we drew faces on! Haha, it's pretty funny to draw on fruit, considering we've now accomplished drawing on cantaloupes, pineapples, kiwis, and tangerines. Next time we might be heading for grapes or bananas. It's rather sad we don't eat them, and just waste them...but wouldn't you like to walk into your kitchen, and have a cantaloupe smiling at you??
Well, I should go do something constructive. ehh... it's wednesday, I'm going to be laid back and maybe i'll throw a few minutes of sleep in there! Ohh! I'm watching Mexico play a soccer game against Ghana, so i'd better go support them! They rock! =D
Talk to everyone later! I hope you enjoy the rest of this week! =]

Vacaciones de Primavera

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Hah, Wow! I'm sure glad spring break is here. I really do enjoy sleeping in, and not having to worry about fitting in homework with clarinet and soccer practice. But my break didn't start until Saturday night.

Well, on Saturday, Solo/Ensemble Festival took place. It was my fourth time attending this, so it wasn't anything new. I participated in 2 ensembles, and we recieved superior ratings for both. The first was a trio with my friends Julia and Melissa. The second ensemble was a clarinet nonet. We recieved a rating of superior, along with a command performance. I have to say i'm glad it's all over, but i'm also sad because it was so fun! I'm so glad I got to watch some of the other performances take place such as Clark, John, Josh, and Sheena's solos/ensembles. All of them were very enojoyable. Afterwards, Julia and I were invited to Sheena's house along with Josh and John. It was really fun, and i'm sure we did some damage to our eyes from watching John and Sheena battle expert on Guitar Hero. But i'm glad we went, and it was a good way to tie up the eventful Saturday.

I have to say that i'm pretty happy with how things are going around school. Benchmark testing is almost over, and I'm satisfied with my third quarter grades. Now I guess I can really relax. This week i'm looking forward to sleep, clarinet choir, more sleep, and a possibility of playing the new Mario Brothers Brawl at Kevin's house. Maybe there will be a day when I can get some friends together and do something. That would be fun.

Although i'm not Irish, I feel like I need to have a little more spirit. I think maybe i'll go bake some cookies and turn them green! Well, I should get going...

I hope everyone has a GREAT spring break, and that everyone has a fun, green St. Patrick's Day!

Sunny Night

Ah. I love this hour. =]

Hmm, this week was fun! (I'm not being sarcastic) It was filled with band and test.......ya, I was kidding about not being sarcastic. Except, the band part was fun, but not the tests....

On Thursday, there was festival at Littlerock High....And frankly, I was a little disappointed with our performance....Symphonic Band did a SPECTACULAR job though. Concert Band, however only got an excellent for performance, and a superior for sightreading. An excellent is alright, but I knew our band could have done so much better....uggh, but i'm not perfect either.... I felt bad for my negativity that day....I just wish we could have "lived up to Symphonic Band's achievement"

The clinic and sightreading took place on the stage too...which was alright, because only Mr. Corlew and some other person was watching us do that....The judge who worked with us for the clinic was physco, she helped, but she scared me. If McQuilkin directed like that every day, then I would probably go insane.... The sightreading judge was pretty cool...except the fact that all the people in the front row were showered by his spit..... Well, overall, I really enjoyed it, and it reminded me of Forum Festival in middle school. (Hillview got gold!) Anyway, It was a fun experience, and i'm looking forward to next year.

Today was pretty eventful too. I woke up, and had poptarts! Woooh! haha...anyway...There was our last parade for the 07-08 year, The Almond Blossom Parade. It was kind of sad because a lot of people were missing, but it still was pretty fun. It was kind of hilarious that no one really remembered the march and all...and then Mr. McQuilkin told us we were playing Fantasmic too...AHH! I'm surprised I remembered. It was a cool parade, short, and really close to my house, I don't even know why we drove. After the parade, my mom and I enjoyed a nice stroll through the craft stands at the Almond Blossom Festival. It was pretty cool, except for the fact I was in my uniform, and I ended up getting a sore on the back of my heel from my marching shoes....oh, and the fact that all these creepy random people started talking to me about the parade. Hah, but I did convince one girl to join marching band next year at QHHS...that made me happy, especially because she was a clarinet player.

Well, I'm getting yelled at for being on the computer this late...and I do have to wake up tomorrow and go to Julia's to practice the trio with Missy. I just finished playing my clarinet from 10:30 to 12:00ish...because I didn't use my tape, my lip is totally cut up and hurt =[ ooh! daylight savings!! =]

Haha, well, see everyone later!
Good Night!/iBuenos Noches!

Monday/Lunes/Lundi = UGLY

Ah. The end of monday has finally come. Well, I can say, it wasn't a very enjoyable monday. But when is monday ever enjoyable?

I'm a bit frustrated right now, I'm trying to burn a copy of I-Empire from Angels and Airwaves onto my iTunes, but of course, it's not working. My blog won't let me change my display picture either. But hey, I shouldn't sweat the small stuff.

I'm pretty excited for Solo/Ensemble, however, I don't feel so confident with our clarinet trio...it's not all the way together, and i'm starting to freak. Monochrome however sounds pretty good. I think once we speed up the 16th notes we can call it done. idk. i'm only a freshman.

I'm tired, but bored. I don't want to go to bed =P Hah, waaaaay to much to think about. I'm probably gonna just babble, and say random stuff. I came on here to post on my blog, but once again i've forgotten what I was going to say.

I've always wondered about people who test jelly bean flavors for a job. I don't know if it is one, but i'd be pretty interesting. The Harry Potter jelly beans are pretty...unique....They have all those flavors (vomit, spaghetti, grass, etc.) I don't know if you have ever tried one, or if you want to, but the flavors are pretty close to the real thing. =P Gross.

Ahh, seeing as I have nothing to do, or post, I should just get to bed. I don't know why I'm up now, I should be sleeping. Well...I think it's good night for now! I hope everyone has a GREAT week, although i'm not to sure mine will be anything great....

Good Night!
