Aesthetically Pleasing

The Snow saves the day. Starting wednesday, it just started to pour snow. It's probably the most I have ever seen in this valley in my lifetime (or from what I can remember). I figured after getting home from school that day, there wasn't going to be school the next day so I skipped doing homework and played in the snow with my brother. We played for about 3 hours until we were finally exhausted from all the snowmen building and snowball fights. I loved the snow. =] It made me feel like a little kid again.

These aren't my snowmen, my friends made these, but I thought they were pretty cute! =D
It seems a little late to discuss this, but my Quince was at the end of November. It turned out to be AMAZING. It was everything I wanted it to be and more. I am so thankful for everything. Thank You to everyone who came, participated, helped, anything...I loved it. I hope everyone had a good time. =] I got the DVD and photos(all 343 of them) back, but I havn't been able to distribute them due to lack of funds. =/ By the end of January, anyone who wants copies will have one. If you don't want them, then you are more than welcome to just come over and see them at my house. =]

With my lazy days this winter break, I've become addicted to one more TV show. CSI. (Crime Scence Investigation) I'm not quite sure why, but it entertains me...considering its rahther corny how they ALWAYS find just the right evidence. =/ Eventhough I've seen millions of episodes, it does not compare to my obsession with House. I guess once school starts up again, they will have to be recorded and watched when I have free time...(hah).

Every wonder about the difference in size of an electron with a human? http://www.physlink.com/education/askexperts/ae278.cfm

Well, I'm hoping everyone had a very Merry Christmas/Happy Hannukah/Happy Kwanza! This year seemed to just go by so fast....

Well, I'm ready for second semmester whether I made it into Wind Ensemble or Band P.E. =/ I did horrible with my audition for Wind Ensemble, so no surprise. This year's marching band wasn't too bad. We got Grand Champs at AV, but we were just .78 away from Palmdale's Grand Champ. That makes me feel guilty because although I didn't mess up, I could have performed a whole heck of a lot better. Ah, there is always next year. (That should be a band motto with the number of times i've heard it...)

Since the last time I've posted, I have seen two movies in theatres. Marley and Me and Four Christmases. I would have to say, I liked both very much. As for the winner, it would have to be Marley and Me. I sure cried way more than I wanted to at the end though! Its due to my family's strong strong love of animals that is established inside of me....Anyways, I definately recommend seeing those!

I'll be up early to once again, watch my friends march in the Tournament of Roses parade. =] I had auditioned, but did not make it. (which I'm not surprised or very disappointed) I think it is a great honor, and I just want to congratulate everyone who made it again! I'm sure it will turn out to be amazing with all of that hard practice you have been putting in.

On that note, this will be my last post of 2008. I want to wish everyone good health and luck in the New Year! Don't forget to have a designated driver because I know everyone who reads my blog gets wasted at parties.... anyways....HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Well, there is only about 2 days until my Quinceañera, and I'm pretty freaked. I'm sure it will be a blast. Thanks to everyone who has put up with my crabby, stressed attitude throughout this whole thing. (And a special thanks to those who obtained physical injuries) ;] I can't wait!

Just the other day, I was getting quite annoyed with little things such as losing the match to my sock, getting lectured by my parents, having to clean up my kitchen, unanswered phone calls to my friends, minor headaches, and just stupid little things. I was getting real bothered by it, until I realized, I shouldn't sweat the small stuff, and be thankful instead. I realized, by wasting my time by thinking of all the annoying things in my life, I was wasting the time I could be giving thanks to everything I do have. I mean, I should be thankful I have clothes to wear, that my parents care about me, that I have food to eat in my kitchen, that I have friends who do care and are there for me, and that my health is in good condition. And the more I think about it, I am truly grateful. So, today, just give thanks to everything, because we are all pretty blessed. =] "We can always find something to be thankful for, no matter what may be the burden of our wants, or the special subject of our petitions."-Albert Barnes

May your stuffing be tasty
May your turkey be plump,
May your potatoes and gravy
Have never a lump.
May your yams be delicious
And your pies take the prize,
And may your Thanksgiving dinner
Stay off your thighs!
Happy Thanksgiving!

Umm...Where Are My Pants??

My Quinceañera. Two weeks. Counting down...

Speaking of Quinceañeras...my good friend Bianca's was just last month. I was very honored to be in her court and to be one of her damas. We did the traditional Waltz and a Baile Sopresa(surprise dance). My friend Josh had decided to participate in the dance with me, and was my partner(chambalan). It was a VERY fun party, and I'm sure everyone had a great time. =] I hope mine runs smoothly...if so, it should be a blast!

School has been keeping me busy. Chemistry and Art History especially. Chem seems to be getting a tad bit more understanding and Art History is finally getting interesting. (We're moving into Art that actually is more sophisticated...not some stick figure carvings in the side of a cave)

This years marching band season has gone a lot faster than I had really wanted it to. Budget cuts limited our number of competitions, but I had fun at both Simi and Hart. Although our band didn't do as good as we could have, it was still just as fun. I'm looking forward to the Arcadia Band Review coming up next weekend, the competition might be a slap in our face regarding our band's parade marching skill, or it might actually be a very successful band review. I'm wanting it to be some what successful, but I guess this weeks parade practice might give a good hint on how we may perform.

AVC Concert on Monday (11/17) You should come. =]

I've been looking at the differences between a myspace and a facebook...and really...I can't find anything better on either. They both are the same, and I guess I'm against having one. They're both profiles of you on the internet.(I guess you can't say having a blog or a website is any better =/ ) Supposedly Facebook is "better" and "safer" but really, its just like a myspace. =P

The raging fires throughout Southern California has had a strong attention of the news today. The outlook is grim, a lot of damage has been done. Some burn injuries have been reported and possibly some deaths. The quote that caught me was when the firefighter reported, "I can't even read the names of the streets, the signs were melting" Large fires are pretty scary (at least to me) and I really hope that this wasn't arson. My prayers are to those firemen containing the fire and all the men and women who are contributing/are in the evacuation of those areas.

I'm listening to a song about WWI. Isn't that great? When I first heard this song a looooong time ago, I would have never guessed it was related to history whatsoever.

I should be in bed right now, I'm dedicating my studying and homework time to sunday this weekend....but who doesn't love procastinating??

Have a wonderful week!

Undesirable Retarded Lame Freak

Wow, I don't ever have enough time to blog anymore.... =[ Sophmore year is proving to be the hardest year of school yet...its really putting a damper on...what's it called again??....I think it's called something like..."having a life" ??? Idk, doesn't sound familiar.....

I need to shut up.
Listening to :: Slow Down by The Academy Is
School was started off....eh, hectic. By the second week, my brother was in the hospital with appendicitis, and by the third week, my mom, with kidney stones. All is well, just a few memorable scars.

I was so thankful to have participated in Tyrel & Allison's(Julia's sister) wedding! It was such a great experience. The quartet was pretty awesome, John, Josh, and Sheena did a spectacular job. =] The day was beautiful and I couldn't of been happier for the Virtue and Drew Family. May Allison and Tyrel have a wonderful marriage.

Soccer is going down hill. Each weekend like another nightmare of horrible games. We haven't won a game yet...its not that we can't, but things aren't clicking. I'm pretty sure the team will fold after season, if not sooner, and that will be the end of our 5 year team. =[ Its a great sport, just not great right now.

School School School. My official schedule-----
  • p1. Chemistry -LeBeau

  • p2. Symphonic Band - McQuilkin

  • p3. Algebra 2/Trig Honors -Shy

  • p4. Art History -DeGroff

  • p.5 Spanish2 -Reyes
  • p.6 English 10 -Moreno

Short review :: Lots of work, I enjoy the classes (except english) but I hate the work load. Art history especially, its SOOO FUN, but lots of work. =P Chem...now thats just confusing. @_@

In Art History, we were assigned a project to do a report on an artist. I chose Jackson Pollock, and abstract artist. I started off just kind of with a 'whatever' attitude, but the more I researched, the greater appreciation I had for him. His work is beautiful, and yes, it IS ART. Since we all had to put together a powerpoint and present it to the class, I got to learn about many other artists as well. If you want to know more about Pollock(which I really doubt you even have the slightest care) then i'll be happy to show the powerpoint. =]

I've now opened my eyes to the art of Fencing. I got a free trial the other week, but I can't start it until December approximately....Its really fun, I don't know how good I really would be.... ^_^

My kittens born on July 19th are almost all gone. =[ I still have two left, and I'm refusing to give them up to just anybody! So if you're a SOMEBODY, contact me! =D Two girl cats! Please, their brothers and sisters went to good homes...you want to make that a reality for these other ones?

Band. Wow. WOW. Symphonic Band is cool...the quality of the overall band sound is better than that of last year's concert band. I enjoy sightreading. =] Marching Band is another story. It's really frustrating me. REALLY BAD. I know Britney and John have it worse, but I still don't like how I feel when i'm out there...i miss last year.

This weekend will prove to be another busy one. Saturday is my friend, Bianca's, Quinceañera. Sunday are T of R tryouts. Somehow, i must manage to fit in Chemistry and Art History, some possible English, my quince planning, chores, and maybe some sleep hours...Thankfully no soccer this weekend.

I just fell victim to an April Fools joke last thursday. Lets see, thats 6 months late?? Thanks Clark, you made me laugh at my stupidity.

Things I have to look forward to this week- Band, Homework, Soccer, more homework, endless clarinet practice, a sore thumb, Art History, Dance Practice, Tears, Frustrations, English, Merpeople, wrapping helmets in foil(u know you're jealous), Chemistry study groups, curling irons, burning my skin, soccer practice, conditioning, being let down, note passing, minor scales, getting my toes and fingers painted, more homework, more lecturing from my parents, and some good laughs(I'm sure).

Enjoy your week everyone! =D Tuesday is always better than Monday!

Sorry for having you read this...you can post a comment on how stupid and pointless this blog was....or just delete this link off your computers memory...something like that.
Until Next Time I actually have time-----

Can you repeat that? Please?!

Well! My internet was down for about a month...but its up and working again. =] After an hour speaking to a computer tech over the phone with a heavy asian accent...I accomplished nothing. Turns out this random firewall was on...impeding our access.

During the last two weeks of July, my family and I went camping at the beach. One week was spent in Santa Barbara at El Capitan State Beach, and the other in San Diego at South Carlsbad State Beach. The first week was filled with friends and family(or at least more that usual at our anual beach trip) In Santa Barbara, an old soccer teammate of mine was camping with her family and brought along some other old teammates of mine...the get together was fun...even though the beach was full of sea weed and tar....The next week in San Diego however was muchhhh better. The beach was nice (and clean), the water was warm, and I got a nice tan! Altogether, it was a very nice trip. =] If you want to see more pictures, there will soon be a new page on my website that will have all of them. Link :: http://www.clarinetfreak101.piczo.com/

(From left to right :: Brielle, Elena, Briana, Marisa)

Ah, band camp ended today. I'm happy and sad. Happy, because it kept me busy and I got to see all my friends, and sad because it's the end of summer. It was a good 5 day work effort. Getting through 10 moves of the show was a nice surprise. I don't think we should rush the learning...but just take time and learn it right. I like my spot in the show, and i'm super duper number 25! (Yes, you all needed to know that) Overall, I'm excited for this years field show, and I think we got off to a good start. =D

Born on July 19th, were 5 little kittens to my sweet cat, Baby Kitty. (ridiculous name...but whatever....) I'm searching for good homes for ALL of them, since my parents are not going to let me keep any. So, if you want a cat, or know someone who does, please please let me know! There are two black and white spotted ones, one that looks the like the mom, one who is black with whiteish stripes, and one who is completely black. =]

Come the first weekend of september, my club soccer team, the Lancaster Rattlers, will play our first game of the 2008 season. After going through 3 coaches since last year, I think our team might just be able to pull it together. I'm not sure what our schedule is, but if you really want to see us fail...i mean play, then let me know, and i'll tell ya!

I've been real busy lately with practicing a dance for my friends quinceañera, that I finally decided I will be having one of my own. =] I'm in a super rush, but I think all will come together very nicely. Of course, now i've got to add school, soccer, and band...but i'll stop complaining for now.

Well, I think i'm done blogging for now, so I'll have to talk to everyone later! We've still got a weekend before the school year starts...woooh! *sarcasm intended* Can't wait to see all your faces there! =]

Until next time I have enough time to sit down and blog,

Happy Canada Day!

Well, only about a month and a half until school starts up again. wooopeee....

Last Saturday was Priscila's Quinceañera. (Sweet 15). It was really nice to see some people from school that I havn't heard from all summer. The party was great, dancing was fun, and although some of my friends chose not to dance, I think they had fun and I still love them. Priscila looked beautiful, and she definately had a good time. I'm kind of in the middle of wanting a Quinceañera, but i'm not sure....

I thought that since I wasn't taking any summer school, I was going to have a nice, free, open summer. Too bad soccer, training, dance practice, and clarinet has taken that all away. I have every day of my summer assigned to something. =P I feel real bad, because I can't hang out with some of my friends. =[

I guess I should start reading The Life of Pi, but I read the first few pages, and was bored with it already. I hate books that don't grab my attention....

Well, Happy Canada Day everyone! =]
Go speak in your best Canadian accent!

I hope everyone has a wonderful, patriotic 4th of July! GO USA!

"Now the old king is dead! Long live the king!"

On Saturday, I went to a family reunion for my mom's side of the family. It was a great get-together and the majority of the people were there. It was hosted at my aunts house up in Pinon Hills, and the weather was just perfect. Although i'm not very social with family I don't really know, I had some really good conversations with some great aunts and older cousins. The food was pretty awesome, and i'm sure everyone gained a few pounds. (That's what happens when you have really good cooks in your family) Otherwise, I kicked butt at a game of 'Mexican Horseshoes', found Mrs. Black in a QHHS 1976 yearbook, and got pooped on by a baby cockatiel. I have to say, I had a GREAT time. =D

With all this extra time, i've been baking away in my kitchen. Since we've moved, our new kitchen has given me all the room I've needed to bake. =] I guess I can say my specialty of food is dessert. I made the dessert course for my family reunion, and I brought along some Lamingtons(Pictured at Right), and my family LOVED them! I'm happy that I chose to make these for my Australian Extra Credit in history, because this dessert has become a family favorite! =]

During the last week of school for Hillview, me and Julia went to go visit Mr. Farris and help him organize his music. It was so great! After signing in, we helped him organize while listening to this WIERD movie that I can't even remember the name of.... Then, we took off all the posters and paper off the walls, and climbed on top of lockers to do so. ;] After all that fun work, we sat and talked. We talked about sooo much! I was just mentioning the major hyper-extension of my thumb that Dr. Price noticed when I play the clarinet and then Mr. Farris pulled this clarinet neck strap out of his storage room and gave it to me. {sorry Julia!} So, after a few tries, i've gotten it fit perfectly on my clarinet, and I LOVE it! Towards the end of the school day, a few old trumpet players came in, and it was really nice to see them all. Then after school, we bid our farewell, ate at Carls Jr., and went to Julia's to watch Yours, Mine, and Ours. It was a WONDERFUL day. =D

I believe the Coldplay CD came out just the other day...one of my favorites is their new song, Viva La Vida. =] You should listen to it.
I love this quote::
La vida no se mide por las veces que respiras, si no por los momentos que te dejan sin aliento...
Wow, i've been so bored this summer! I have gone out with friends, but I have to say, I like how occupied school keeps me. I know it't a bit much sometimes, but I like it better than having nothing to do...because during the school year, I ALWAYS have something to do. I'm really looking forward to camping for 2 weeks at the beach and Band Camp, otherwise...lots of sleep and lots of soccer are heading my way!! =]

Yearbooks are great things. I just can't wait, that when i'm older, i'll be able to show my kids what school was like. My aunt found some of her yearbooks for QHHS from about 30 years ago, and it's really funny to look back and see the school along with the students who went there! The school looks a lot like it does today minus all the gum. Oh, and it was a little bit old fashioned, but there was a remodeling of the school in between the time my mom and aunt attended QHHS, from the time now. If you want to see them, I've got the year books from '76, '77, and '78.

This last tuesday, Me, Julia, Priscila, Josh, John, and Sheena went to Denny's to celebrate the Life of Josh. The food was good, I saw Kung Fu Panda for the second time, and we went to Coldstones afterwards. It was really fun, and I think everyone enjoyed the outing. When Julia was taking Priscila and I home, we stopped by Priscila's garden to check out her zucchini, and boy were they HUGE! I can't believe it! Well, Tuesday was a lot of fun, and i'm glad we got together.

Yesterday I learned part of the thriller dance! haha, it was pretty fun, and no, just because I like Thriller doesn't mean I like Michael Jackson...I just like a few songs of his. =D

Well, this post has barely any pics....so here is one!

Jamba Juice is really good! I don't find anything great about the boosts...it never really works...but i'll pretend they do. =D My favourites are the Strawberries Wild and Carribean Passion. =]
Well, i'm off to go finish hydrating myself for Soccer...so talk to everyone later! I hope everyone enjoys this hot summer weather, and uses it to their advantage! (tanning maybe??)

Jueves

Ah, fourth day of summer vacation and i'm bored out of my mind. At least i've kept a somewhat occupied schedule. I can only imagine how lonely i'll be for the next few weeks while my brother is at summer school for AVID. =[ That means i'm home alone for the next several weeks....

Ah, I've started summer reading for the Pre-IB program, and I have to say I like these selections of books way better than last summers assigned book, Lord of the Flies. I've finished one of the books today, and I plan to finish the other soon. I guess our assignment is to take notes on them, but since I prefer reading through a book and enjoying it, I'm going to read them both again and then take notes. =] I'll have plenty of time this summer to do that.

I'm pretty happy with how my club soccer team is reviving from the hole we were falling into. Although we lost half our team, we have now successfully purged our not-so-good trainer and have found an EXCELLENT one instead. Although our new trainer, Ruben is awesome, he is pretty strict and he likes to make us condition. And boy, does he like conditioning. Our first practice with him (Tuesday) was pretty long. He made us run like 6 miles, and for our out of shape team, that was a lot. Otherwise, I think by August our team will be ready for season, and i'll be in a better shape to try out for the school team. =] (If my school work and band priorities will let me of course)

Well yesterday was pretty fun. I spent almost half the day at Julia's house, and Priscila came over too. After watching two very different movies, Edward Scissorhands and 27 Dresses, playing The Game of LIFE along with some rounds of Jenga, we had an AWESOME time. After Priscila left, me and Julia baked brownies and quizzed each other on 5th grade material, while looking through old yearbooks and listening to Five Iron Frenzy. So ya, it was really fun. =D

I guess I never realized how many Latino friends I had until all of a sudden I get all these Quinceañera invites. Being half Mexican, I was given the decision whether to have a Quinceañera or a Sweet 16. I chose the Sweet 16 instead, because then I can just celebrate it with my twin, Tito. Otherwise, this summer, my brother and I have some parties to go to (and dance in! =D) and I'm really looking forward to them!

Well, I'm going to go hydrate myself for soccer practice! Talk to everyone soon!

That's all folks!

Woooh! This day seemed LOOOOONG! Not only was it the last day of my freshman year...but it was the graduation for the QHHS seniors! (I saw McQ, Casey, Clark, and Andrew all lining up for a picture, so I couldn't help but whip out my phone to snap a pic) I had to say, with all the graduations i've ever been to...this was the least windiest one. It was a really nice ceremony, eventhough we had to play what felt like hours of Pomp and Circumstance.

I was having a good time when they called out all the names of the graduating seniors...and, instead of listening to all the names (besides band people, or people I knew) I was having a good time with Julia and Priscila. I probably havn't laughed that hard in a while. But come ending time, right before they finished the last diploma...Priscila cracked my fingers, and it made my eyes water.... That only set up the crying I got into when the Band seniors came around to say goodbye. =[ I didn't think I would cry because I only knew them for a year (or less) but it was sad to realize they won't be back....even though i'm sure some of them didn't care.

Well, I can now say i'm DONE being a freshman! I had a little dance today after school. =] This year had its good things...and of course the not so "wanted" things. My parents are in disbelief that i'm going to be a sophmore, and they are already getting nervous. (I wonder how they'll be come my graduation day. But thats 3 years off, I have time to prepare them) Well, I'm not sure what to blog about (of course) and I think i'll bring this post to a close.

I hope everyone has a wonderful summer. I'm going to be camping at the beach for the last two weeks of July, and i'm not participating in any summer school class, so I'm open for anyone who wants to hang out! Call me, or email me if you want =D Marcea_1123@yahoo.com

I wish all the seniors the best of luck in college, or wherever they're going to pursue their life.... Good luck, it was a pleasure to know all of you. =D Don't ever change (HAH, just kidding!) You should change, Speed gave a good speech about that. ;]

Well, Good Night everyone! I'll be up early tomorrow for.....SOCCER! hahah fun!
...But come Monday....oh the wonderful sleep i'll be getting!!!!! =D

Had I known How to Save a Life....

Wow! It's been a while since i've posted! I really can't believe it's already May! It feels like just yesterday that it was my first day of HIGHSCHOOL! Well, I'm pretty glad its over....i'm tired of being a freshman. I will miss some of the seniors, and I do wish the best for them in the future.

I've officially decided what my schedule is going to be next year....I've gotten so many different opinions on my list of classes! I'm not sure what is going to happen! I'm taking-

  • English 10/Pre-IB
  • Pre-IBAlgebra 2/Trig Honors
  • AP Chemistry
  • AP Art History <---I'm scared!
  • Symphonic Band
  • Spanish 2/ Pre- IB

I've heard it is quite a bit of work to be taking Chemistry and Algebra 2, but I think I can handle it. Oh, and since I joined Art History, it doesn't look like i'll have a life next year. It looks like a great class, and I definately want to take it before I have to worry about the real IB program in Junior and Senior year. Instead of Art History, I was going to take AP Euro...but because of my lack of interest in history[[European]] I decided to switch over.

Well, a few weeks ago in Spanish, we got to make salsa! (In honor of Cinco de mayo) Every year, Senora Rocca has an end of the year salsa making day. haha. We got to make it with a mocahete (sp?) and it was really fun! Being Mexican, I should know how to spell it...considering we have one. Although it wasn't the correct type of salsa you make with mocahetes...our salsa was pretty good. =D Thanks a lot to Cierra, Julia, Allison (Kemper), and Alyson (Santa) for making salsa in our cool group!

Wow, end of the year. Hard to believe. Only 4 more days left, and all of them being reduced days. I still need tons of signatures for my yearbook...the teachers have had a pretty strict rule on not having those out in class unfortunately. I'm really not sure what i'm going to blog about....so hmmmmmmmm.

This summer I'm some what looking forward to. I would have been taking a class at the college, but i'm going to camp at the beach for two weeks in Santa Barbara. Every summer my family goes, and we get to camp on the coastal bluff. It's really nice! And every time I come back waaaaaay tan! =] (I really need it!) I'm also planning to sleep a whole bunch...I don't care how much of my summer I waste....I LIKE SLEEP. Besides, I'm not sure how much i'll get with my schedule next year. I guess the rest of the time will be spent hanging out with my friends and finding busy stuff I can keep myself occupied with. Then of course...band camp...which I'm kinda looking forward to, and then not....

Friday was our final project for World History IB. Me, Kevin, Cierra, and Raemeon were to pick a country and do a report on it. We thought....what better country to do but Australia!? Being the cultural expert on this assignment, I had a rather good time putting together my portion of the powerpoint! And, for the extra credit, Cierra brought in a didgeridoo and some boomerangs. <--They were real! Cierra and I also painted ourselves like the Australian Aborigine...which was pretty awesome. =]
Well, I hope everyone has a wonderful last week of school! I'm pretty excited to see how the Band Banquet and Graduation goes. It's my first year, so I'm not sure how things are run! Have a wonderful Memorial Day, and a nice summer! Until Next Time....

[[Please Don't Feed the Animals]]

Quise ir, pero puedo no a causa de los monos de physco.

Well, this Monday is just swell. The weather was nice, the band returned from a fantastic trip to Chicago, and block scheduling was somewhat tolerable today! =] I'm procastinating on doing my History packet, but it's what I do. Last history timeline, I waited until the night before, and was up 'til 3 in the morning. But hey, I ended up getting a 30/30 on it anyway, so I guess it was worth it.

The Friday before last was fun. After school I went to a track meet held at our school. I got to visit an old friend who goes to Paraclete, and I got to see a whole bunch of people run and fling themselves over poles. =] Afterwards, I went to the movies with John, Josh, Sheena, and Julia to see 21. It was a great movie (Except the not needed scenes....) The whole concept of counting cards in the game of 21 is really neat.[Winner, Winner! Chicken Dinner!] hahah When the movie finished, we all headed to In 'N Out, grabbed a bite to eat, and called it a night.

I'm glad that everyone has returned safely from Chicago. It sounds like they all had a great time. I wish I could have gone, but I still have 3 more oppurtunities. I've looked at some of the cool pictures, and heard so many stories, it sounds like it really was FUN.

W O U L D Y O U L I K E I T I F I W R O T E L I K E T H I S? Or HoWaBoUt LiKe ThIs? M@YB3 With @!! TH3S3 SyMbos....?? <----Can U even read that?? How about talking in IMs? R U goin 2 b here 4 da hw EC in prd 4 2day?(lol, rotfl, btw, ??, g2g, ttyl, brb, h/o) It's yet amazing how much you can cut down the english language to fit into emails, texts, blogs, etc. I would certainly hope people don't write (Such as in school work) like this!!! The Peak of the Night

Well, I'm really not that tired, being as I slept in for the first time in a few weeks. I've now watched two movies in the past 24 hours.

This week definately went by fast. When we return on monday, it will only be 2 months until the school year will have finally ended. I'm disappointed, but i'm also very happy that i'm another year closer to graduating. I can't believe time is flying by so fast.

I just finished watching Atonement, a very good movie according to the critics. I approved of it, sort of.... It was a rather confusing, since the plot was jumping around so quickly with the time. Oh, and at about 5 minutes into the movie, we had to add the subtitles on because the british accents were so thick, we couldn't understand them. It was pretty nice having taken World History this year, simply because some of the story was about WWII, and there were details one had to know in order to understand the movie...so I thank Mr. Manthey for that. Overall I think it was a rather good story plot, minus the sexual scenes, which were unfortunately necessary. I don't think it was as harsh as a rated R movie, maybe a PG-13, but i'm nobody to judge the criteria in which movies are rated off of. But seriously, it's a good movie, go see it. =]

The other movie I saw was Tyler Perry's Meet the Browns. It was such a funny movie! I was laughing the whole entire time! There are a few scenes which really jerked the tears, but I was strong. haha. If you seriously want a good laugh, I definately recommend you see that movie. It was pretty funny...when I went with Priscila to see this in the theatres, there were people who made comments out loud during the movie. It was dumb, but funny, because it was what EVERYONE was thinking. It's definately a movie that will give you a good laugh. =D

Wow, seeing as it is now 1:30 in the morning, I shall be heading off to bed soon. I'm not really looking forward to tomorrow, or next week.... I have to complete a Cold War history project, and a Romeo and Juliet project also. Not to mention State Cup for my soccer team next weekend! Well, I should get off, I hope everyone enjoys their sunday!
Good night, or rather, Good Morning!

Wonderful, Welcoming, Windy Wednesday

I love alliteration. I'm not sure why. It's pretty fun to come up with those types of sentences!

Well, I can agree that today is windy. But i'm a little hesitant to say today was welcoming. I guess the fact that it was a flex day at school made it easier to get up in the morning. The wonderful...i'm not sure about. I just love using alliteration. =D

Ah. I can't say that i'm excited to be back at school...but i'm not completely dreading it. This month is pretty uneventful for any school activities....I'm excited for all the people going to Chicago, it sounds like they'll have a grand time. After March is over, school will end in 2 months! I can't believe this year went so fast! I'm going to definately miss some of the seniors though. =[

So how was everyones spring break? Mine was very busy! It was probably the most i've ever done on a school vacation. I spent a lot of time hanging out with my friends, a day of bowling, and a few visits with some old pals. Oh, and I also watched the movie College Road Trip with my friend Bianca. It was pretty funny considering the actor in that movie reminded us of her over-protective dad. I recommend you see that movie. =D

I'm so excited! Tonight is clarinet choir. In that class we actually get to play exciting, and somewhat challenging music. And the fact that we don't have to deal with other instrumentalists who don't act maturely or put any effort into the music is wonderful! *cough cough* concert band trumpets.... *cough cough* Hah. I shouldn't say that, but i'm tired of being stuck with them in Concert Band....Julia and I both agree that we need new music in that class too!

Ah, this post seems to drag on, so i'll probably end it soon. ooh. Here is a picture of our(Me, Julia, Kira) Kiwis we drew faces on! Haha, it's pretty funny to draw on fruit, considering we've now accomplished drawing on cantaloupes, pineapples, kiwis, and tangerines. Next time we might be heading for grapes or bananas. It's rather sad we don't eat them, and just waste them...but wouldn't you like to walk into your kitchen, and have a cantaloupe smiling at you??
Well, I should go do something constructive. ehh... it's wednesday, I'm going to be laid back and maybe i'll throw a few minutes of sleep in there! Ohh! I'm watching Mexico play a soccer game against Ghana, so i'd better go support them! They rock! =D
Talk to everyone later! I hope you enjoy the rest of this week! =]

Vacaciones de Primavera

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Hah, Wow! I'm sure glad spring break is here. I really do enjoy sleeping in, and not having to worry about fitting in homework with clarinet and soccer practice. But my break didn't start until Saturday night.

Well, on Saturday, Solo/Ensemble Festival took place. It was my fourth time attending this, so it wasn't anything new. I participated in 2 ensembles, and we recieved superior ratings for both. The first was a trio with my friends Julia and Melissa. The second ensemble was a clarinet nonet. We recieved a rating of superior, along with a command performance. I have to say i'm glad it's all over, but i'm also sad because it was so fun! I'm so glad I got to watch some of the other performances take place such as Clark, John, Josh, and Sheena's solos/ensembles. All of them were very enojoyable. Afterwards, Julia and I were invited to Sheena's house along with Josh and John. It was really fun, and i'm sure we did some damage to our eyes from watching John and Sheena battle expert on Guitar Hero. But i'm glad we went, and it was a good way to tie up the eventful Saturday.

I have to say that i'm pretty happy with how things are going around school. Benchmark testing is almost over, and I'm satisfied with my third quarter grades. Now I guess I can really relax. This week i'm looking forward to sleep, clarinet choir, more sleep, and a possibility of playing the new Mario Brothers Brawl at Kevin's house. Maybe there will be a day when I can get some friends together and do something. That would be fun.

Although i'm not Irish, I feel like I need to have a little more spirit. I think maybe i'll go bake some cookies and turn them green! Well, I should get going...

I hope everyone has a GREAT spring break, and that everyone has a fun, green St. Patrick's Day!

Sunny Night

Ah. I love this hour. =]

Hmm, this week was fun! (I'm not being sarcastic) It was filled with band and test.......ya, I was kidding about not being sarcastic. Except, the band part was fun, but not the tests....

On Thursday, there was festival at Littlerock High....And frankly, I was a little disappointed with our performance....Symphonic Band did a SPECTACULAR job though. Concert Band, however only got an excellent for performance, and a superior for sightreading. An excellent is alright, but I knew our band could have done so much better....uggh, but i'm not perfect either.... I felt bad for my negativity that day....I just wish we could have "lived up to Symphonic Band's achievement"

The clinic and sightreading took place on the stage too...which was alright, because only Mr. Corlew and some other person was watching us do that....The judge who worked with us for the clinic was physco, she helped, but she scared me. If McQuilkin directed like that every day, then I would probably go insane.... The sightreading judge was pretty cool...except the fact that all the people in the front row were showered by his spit..... Well, overall, I really enjoyed it, and it reminded me of Forum Festival in middle school. (Hillview got gold!) Anyway, It was a fun experience, and i'm looking forward to next year.

Today was pretty eventful too. I woke up, and had poptarts! Woooh! haha...anyway...There was our last parade for the 07-08 year, The Almond Blossom Parade. It was kind of sad because a lot of people were missing, but it still was pretty fun. It was kind of hilarious that no one really remembered the march and all...and then Mr. McQuilkin told us we were playing Fantasmic too...AHH! I'm surprised I remembered. It was a cool parade, short, and really close to my house, I don't even know why we drove. After the parade, my mom and I enjoyed a nice stroll through the craft stands at the Almond Blossom Festival. It was pretty cool, except for the fact I was in my uniform, and I ended up getting a sore on the back of my heel from my marching shoes....oh, and the fact that all these creepy random people started talking to me about the parade. Hah, but I did convince one girl to join marching band next year at QHHS...that made me happy, especially because she was a clarinet player.

Well, I'm getting yelled at for being on the computer this late...and I do have to wake up tomorrow and go to Julia's to practice the trio with Missy. I just finished playing my clarinet from 10:30 to 12:00ish...because I didn't use my tape, my lip is totally cut up and hurt =[ ooh! daylight savings!! =]

Haha, well, see everyone later!
Good Night!/iBuenos Noches!

Monday/Lunes/Lundi = UGLY

Ah. The end of monday has finally come. Well, I can say, it wasn't a very enjoyable monday. But when is monday ever enjoyable?

I'm a bit frustrated right now, I'm trying to burn a copy of I-Empire from Angels and Airwaves onto my iTunes, but of course, it's not working. My blog won't let me change my display picture either. But hey, I shouldn't sweat the small stuff.

I'm pretty excited for Solo/Ensemble, however, I don't feel so confident with our clarinet trio...it's not all the way together, and i'm starting to freak. Monochrome however sounds pretty good. I think once we speed up the 16th notes we can call it done. idk. i'm only a freshman.

I'm tired, but bored. I don't want to go to bed =P Hah, waaaaay to much to think about. I'm probably gonna just babble, and say random stuff. I came on here to post on my blog, but once again i've forgotten what I was going to say.

I've always wondered about people who test jelly bean flavors for a job. I don't know if it is one, but i'd be pretty interesting. The Harry Potter jelly beans are pretty...unique....They have all those flavors (vomit, spaghetti, grass, etc.) I don't know if you have ever tried one, or if you want to, but the flavors are pretty close to the real thing. =P Gross.

Ahh, seeing as I have nothing to do, or post, I should just get to bed. I don't know why I'm up now, I should be sleeping. Well...I think it's good night for now! I hope everyone has a GREAT week, although i'm not to sure mine will be anything great....

Good Night!

Utterly Peanut Buttery

hah. Well, I just had a good laugh, which lifted me into a pretty cheery mood!

Wow, this week seemed to fly right by...and this month especially! Soon I will no longer be a freshman (Yes!) haha. Today was pretty busy. I got to get out of school two periods early, and head to LAX and pick up my long lost friend who moved to Illinois and is now back. =] It was pretty good considering there was no traffic heading down, but coming up, that was a different story. At least I got to take a nap on the way back, it's been so long, and I was sooooo refreshed!!! Except, I woke up to loud and annoying honks....We were in this tunnel-like thing, and people were just blasting their horns...it wasn't very pleasant.

Well, so as i'm aware of, I believe it's Clark's birthday! soo Happy Birthday Clark! If i'm wrong, i'm terribly sorry! I don't have a great memory.

Hmm, I'm disappointed it isn't another three-day weekend...but it's alright. I have yet again procastinated, and will have to do LOTS of work. I really want to practice my instrument too though! I've felt like this week i've neglected it... =[

Well, I always have the urge to go post a blog, and then I forget what I was going to say...grrr. I think I shall be heading off soon, for some reason the computer isn't so entertaining right now....hmmm maybe i'll update my site and get off. Oh, if you have AIM, and don't have my screen name, then hit me up!

Talk to everyone later!! I hope you have a nice, safe, and fun weekend!! Oh, and good luck to Casey and Clark who are performing with the All-State band! I wish I could watch the concert, but 4 hours...ya...not very appealing to my mom.

Albino Black Sheep

Woooooo i'm glad the week is over! Thankfully, another 3-day weekend. This time i'll be well enough to enjoy it though!! Well, I just wanted to wish everyone a late Happy Valentines Day. It was defianately fun to hand out valentines! (no, i don't consider it kiddish =p ) I hope everyone liked it!

Yay! I'm excited for Solo/Ensemble this year. I can't wait to rehearse the trio with my friends some more. The song will be very beautiful once we put it all together. Oh, and monochrome III. wow. I love that song! So ugly, but in a good way! The first rehearsal sounded pretty good, but at the next one i'll shut up....ugggh i'm so stupid...i blab waay to much. =[

Haha yesterday at PE charlie came up with a dramatic PE picture, except for, Laura was the poser. Haha. Ya, this is what band PE does to you... Seriously though, I hate wasting my time out there =p

Welllllllllllllll....i'm off to go do something...idk. I played hours of guitar hero today, so my eyes are probably ruined, and it probably doesn't help matters that i'm on the computer....hmmm, i think i'll go watch George Lopez. That show is pretty funny!

=[ i'm kind of bummed right now. I'm tired of being soooo stereotyped as a freshman... I think if you're too serious in life, then you're never going to have fun...but that doesn't mean be immature.....well...thats my parting thought for tonight...

I hope everyone has a wonderful three day weekend!

I'm Sick =P

Wow! I havn't added a post since December!! Hah, I never have any time to go on this anymore. I'm usuallly on my piczo website though. You should check it out! Its....www.clarinetfreak101.piczo.com Hah, then you can go on all my friends too! =]

Well, if the title doesn't give it away already...i'm sick. Very sick. I can't sleep anymore, so I figure I can waste time on the computer. It started to hit me on wednesday afternoon. After that, it's just gotten worse. I couldn't miss the last two days of school, simply because I had some tests and I HATE make-up work. So if this doesn't get better by Tuesday, (Which I hope it does) I won't be at school.

But enough about complaining...Yesterday was pretty fun. The weather was nice, and it wasn't a dramatic, or frustrating day. After school I went over to Julia's house and practiced a trio with her and our other friend Melissa from Paraclete. It was pretty good, but we still need to work on it quite a bit. Then after Missy left, me and Julia worked on Monochrome III. I'm glad we worked together, its much more fun that way. After that, it was pretty late and we were just talking...then I told her my throat hurt.... But that wasn't a good idea because she told me there was this thing I could take called "apple cider vinegar". Ewww. It kind of helped, but it was the nastiest thing i've ever drank. So after I took that, I had milk to wash the flavor away.... and not til later that night, did my mom tell me milk curdled in vinegar.............EWW! But I thank her for the effort...

Well, I'm not sure what to post, sooooo I think this is the end of it! Have a nice three day weekend everyone!!! =]
