As always, I have long periods of time in between posting. A lot has happened since the last post, but I am not motivated enough to rehash all of the memories and experiences that I had during that time.
To sum things up, I finished community college, graduating cum laude with three associates degrees. I'll be transferring to a university in the fall so that I may complete my undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering. After that, I hope to have a job and possibly pursue Graduate school.
I'll work on posting more to this blog, as I have found a new passion for writing this past semester. (Maybe taking three engineering courses will do that to you.) Although...I don't think that I'll be writing some fantastic blog posts exploring the deepest realm of human thought anytime soon, so don't get your hopes up.
Lately I have been enjoying my summer, working part time at my usual job, and part time as an intern for NASA. (Pretty cool, I know ;]) I have been catching up on all the sleep I sacrificed for engineering this past year, and loving every single minute of it. I even finally had the motivation to do a nice deep cleaning of my room since it has been put on the back burner for studying/homework. Besides the lounging around (and not feeling guilty), I have finally picked up the habit of watching TV again. This summer, the best $25 I have spent was on the TV series, The Cosmos, which features Neil deGrasse Tyson and our amazing universe. There are a ton of episodes, and I usually can only watch one at a time so that I can digest the content thoroughly. I don't think I'd ever be a good binge-TV-er, so I suppose it's a good thing that I do not have a Netflix account. Other than that, I sprinkle some occasional episodes of Catfish and Jimmy Kimmel Live in my weekly routine, and ta-da....I am in vegetable mode. Altogether, I am extremely happy with how this summer has been. No stress = Happy Happy Marcea.
I have many things to look forward to before I begin my semester, and I will most likely be posting about them on this blog as much as I can. Next week is the Fourth of July, so I am sure I will share some experiences from our traditional rodeo held at the fairgrounds. Nothing screams " 'merica!" like cowboys, boots, coors light, and explosives (aka Fireworks). If I do not get a post in before then, I hope that everyone has a happy and safe day.
I think this is fair enough for a getting-back-into-the-things-post. Have a great weekend!
